How to use these estimates

Each calculator runs in your browser and does not save or send what you type. The math is standard amortization or simple annualizing, and each page shows the formula it uses. Real offers can differ because of origination fees, rounding, payment dates and your credit profile. Federal law (the Truth in Lending Act) requires a lender to show you the APR, finance charge and payment schedule in writing before you sign.

For background on how rates are set, read APR explained or see typical ranges by loan type on rates and fees. More guides are in Learn.
